Eagle Tattoos

Eagle tattoos are very popular tattoos, but often require a great deal of space if you would like to tattoo the entire bird on yourself in intricate detail. This makes the chest, back and shoulder ideal places to tattoo an eagle on yourself. An eagle tattoo design can represent a number of things. They are considered to be very brave birds, and are often used to symbolize bravery. They can also be used to symbolize wisdom, as they are among the smartest birds. The connection between eagles and America are also very apparent, and have lead to a large number of patriotic or military influenced tattoos in recent years. The eagle is also commonly seen in the stories and mythology of ancient civilizations and religions. To the Greeks, the eagle was used to represent the sun, and in many stories often assisted other gods with tasks. Eagles are useful, strong birds that can be depicted in a variety of different ways.

Eagles and America

The eagle is the national symbol of America. In America, the eagle is used to represent freedom. They have inspired a large number of patriotic and military-themed tattoos that are often placed on someone to show their love for their country. In the military, where tattooing is very common, the eagle is among the most tattooed designs. An eagles ability to fly at very high altitudes, even over the tops of mountain peaks, make the eagle an ideal candidate to represent freedom, because they do have the ultimate freedom.

Eagles and Sight

Have you ever heard the expression “eagle eye?” The expression is usually used when someone has spotted something that they normally wouldn’t have, or that no one else did. To have an eagle eye is to have extremely good sight. Eagles fly at very high altitudes, and are able to spot their prey from these altitudes. They are able to see fish swimming below the surface of the water, or a small mouse running on the ground int he forest. When they strike, they are quick, and are able to keep track of animals using their sharp eyesight. Research has found that older eagles who live to see old age and begin to experience diminished eyesight usually do not live much longer because they are unable to adjust to a new way of living without excellent eyesight. They have lost their edge.

Eagles and Power

Eagles are also commonly used to represent power. Much in the same way that lions rule the land, eagles rules the skies. They are the leading warriors of the air and really have no natural predators that can bring them down as long as they are in the air. They are considered to be a very spiritual animal that is in control of all times. Because they are able to see their prey from so high in the sky, they are also given the ultimate power of being able to decide who lives and who dies on the ground below. Animals that are attacked by eagles often have little warning that they have been spotted.
